we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
I use this one on my old Avant:

Easy to set up - not the best picture, but it won't get better.
A compromise, but allows me to use the ATV in the linkroom.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Isn't there a DVI-input on the BV7 32"?
Too long to list....
Yes there is, but is my understanding on the DVI connection correct it only allows pictures not sound and I would have to install an Optical to Analogue converter for sound from the Apple TV.
Or would this route give me a better picture and sound quality ?
Thanks
For sure a better Picture AND digital Sound
Sound improvement:depends on your Speaker set-up, - if you use TVs Speakers only, Sound Quality is not an issue - if you have a 5.1 set-up, via Scart this it is not possible to feed 5.1.

HDMI / DVI = digital Signal with Resolution made for your tv (720p, 1080i etc.)
Scart = Lower Resolution, TV has to do upscaling...

So just to confirm, the DVI takes sound as well as picture? So all that is needed is a DVI -> Scart cable?

interesting thread on Apple Community https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2611942?start=0&tstart=0 about the HD Fury
All connected and working now and I must say I am rather impressed with the picture and sound quality when you take into consideration the the cabling and splitters involved.
What I like about doing such things and posting on this forum is what you learn, how boring if life was just all plug and go.
Note: the BV must be HD ready - otherweise this wouldn't work 'out of the box'.
I suppose a BC7-32 MK3 is!

Hi Mark,
Can you please explain how it is connected? I get the DVI to HDMi plug, but I'm not sure on the other one (do you have a link to where I could find one?).
Thanks very much
Oh, and the best way to clean is with either a microfiber cloth or a spectacles cleaning cloth. No water or solvents are necessary, just a little bit of elbow grease

BeoHut: jldmelb: Oh, and the best way to clean is with either a microfiber cloth or a spectacles cleaning cloth. No water or solvents are necessary, just a little bit of elbow grease ??? What do you mean by this Jonathan in relation to this topic? Clean old age equipment? Probably wrong post here ;-)

If you read the original question, the OP asks for the best way to clean fingerprints off the glass screen...
Helps a lot! Thanks Mark
Beofan53:"Also what is the best product you have found to clean the screen glass, 4 year old finger prints are a cleaners nightmare"
