Right side hinge for a Beocenter 7700 wanted.
Same part in BC 7700, 7007, 7002, 7000 & 5000
Part no 2040 in picture.
//Bo.A long list...
I posted a request for one about a year ago, with no response. I've been looking ever since.
If you find two :-) or come up with a way to make them, please let me know.

The Beocenter 7000, 7002, 7007, 7700 aluminium cover right side hinge is very often found broken.I' ve had good success with cleaning and roughening up the remains and the track in which it sits in the aluminiumplate with sandpaper and/or a file and then a good and strong epoxy (Araldite) to fix it all in place.With good skills and a finishing drop of black paint the repair will be almost invisible.
This part breaks because the user forced the lid closed too fast and the dampening (Kilopoise-) greaseon this part and its counterpart had hardened to some extent.
Tip: The kilopoise grease is a sticky and stubborn substance but will dissolve and wipe off easilyif you give it a shot of contact cleaner (Contact 60 or 61, De-oxit etc.).If you add new grease then only sparingly.

Isn't member ALF parting out a BC7000?
Dave.
Thanks for the advice Martin.
Thanks! I'll probably try that when I get around to overhauling my 7700.
