Hi all,

after more than three years and many software updates I still have a problem with my BV 10 in a masterlink system.

Does anyone use his BV 10 as a link TV (V.OPT = 6) and distribute audio via masterlink and video via RF from main room to BV 10?

Greetings

Hi Räuber,

I use a BV10 in the bedroom as a link tv. Now i am only using Audio from the main room. Before moving i used audio link and distributed video through RF from my BV9.

What is your problem?

Hello msinn,

my problem is the following (BV 10 in link room, BV 7 and BS 9000 in main room):

If I press CD in linkroom (BV 10), I can hear CD from BS 9000 in linkroom. If I press then for instance DVD, I can watch a DVD from BV 7 on BV 10, but the CD is still working in BS 9000. If I press then STANDBY, BV 7 with DVD goes in standby, but still not BS 9000! So it happens that CD is workink the whole night long!

Or If I press DVD in linkroom (BV 10), I can watch a DVD from BV 7 on BV 10. If I press then for instance RADIO, I hear radio from BS 9000, but DVD is still working in BV7. If I press then STANDBY, BS 9000 goes in standby, but still not BV 7!

This behaviour always happens if I first select in link room an audio source and then a video source in main room (or the other way round). The first selected source (audio or video source) doesn't go in standby when I select another source (video or audio source).

Can you confirm this behaviour?

Greetings

Hi Räuber,

I can confirm your opservations partly. When I switch from Audio to Video Source the Audio system stays on, but not the other way round. It happens not only on my bv10 but also on the main room bv9.

I have no speakers connected to my BS2500. I suspect the Beolink 1611 to be the Problem, which does the connection from the BS2500 to Masterink in my setup.

Greetings

Martin

Hi Martin,

thanks for your feedback.

In my setup the BV 10 causes the problems, because I checked the following:

1. I replaced BV 10 with my old MX 4002 and everything works fine,

2. I changed the roles of BV 10 and BV 7: BV 10: V.OPT=2, BV 7: V.OPT=6, so BV 7 is link tv, everything also works fine.

So it's clear for me that BV 10 has a software bug. My dealer reported this bug to Struer and I reported it to Beocare. But no solution since more than a year. I'm very disappointed with this customer support!

Greets

Yesterday I asked my technician to update my BV 10-40 again with the latest software. It's Build 229, I had Build 227 installed.

Although the technician had no information that the described bug was solved, with Bulid 229 the bug is gone! No more faults when using BV 10-40 as a link TV (V.OPT = 6) and switching from a video to an audio source in main room (or the other way round).

So it took more than 4 years until the software engineers had solved this software bug!

Räuber
