Does anyone know if replacement frets for the BeoVision 5 can still be obtained? If not, perhaps suggestions for places that might have salvaged one from a dead BeoVision 5? Or perhaps a suggestion for a place that might be able to replace the fabric with an appropriate speaker fabric? I currently have a silver fret but would like to replace it with a black fret.
There aren't any available from the factory any longer, but if you call around some dealers may still have some lying around.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Just did reclothing a Beovision 5 this weekend in a beautiful aluminium fabric look. My BV5 has a silver frame and I have another one with a black frame. We're talking about the plasma right?

Yes. The plasma. How difficult was the reclothing? Could you provide some advise on how you did it? Where did you source the appropriate cloth? I wonder if B&O might sell the black speaker cloth so that it matches the other black speaker frets, such as on the BeoLab 8000, etc.?
BTW, my fret is silver if anyone has a black one they would like to swap.
Quite easy, the shape is squared or rectangled so reclothing should not be that difficult. The worst part is that the fret consist of two parts which has been both attached with double sided tape. With some patience you're able to take them apart. Regarding the cloth, I purchased black cloth from Ebay Germany which has almost the same feels and looks like the BL8000. But I have to look which seller that was. Bought fabric from several suppliers...
