The B&O flagship store near The Royal Theater in Copenhagen had two large boxes right inside the door yesterday. I am pretty sure one of the labels said BV11 Black/silver. I kindly offered my help unboxing. The sales person told me he had lot's of boxes I could help with both these was not to opened yet :-)

I did see and hear the A9 though. I was surprised to see it on display already, so that was what got me inside the store in the first place.

Well, back to Adam and Eve, we could be/are family ;-).

We have in common that we both are enthousiastic fans of the products of B&O and that we on Beoworld are a kind of family, so YES! ;-) Beo-Ed

Uuh, fancy! Not much to do with it without a Beovision 11, but still. Good that they finally have a app out in good time!

I think a lot of us are waiting for the supposed avant successor. I was told it was the bv7 , sorry not even close.

Why can't they just use the old avant design and put a flat panel inside it ?

hmmmmm.....

Very much like the BV10. There are aluminium and black-framed choices. If someone ordered a BV10-46 and were given a BV11-46, I'd vouch that the average home user wouldn't even notice the difference. Seriously. A user could buy a BV10-46 today after viewing in the store, the dealer could bring around a BV11-46 and I'm confident most users (not users on this forum) wouldn't notice it was a new TV. Smaller speaker grille aside, it's very similar.

Anyway, now it's post 5pm I'm allowed to post my BV11 thoughts from viewing it earlier.

I had a very good personal demo of both the BV11-55 and BV11-40 today. Mixed feelings. Audio quality is much improved over the BV10, but the picture quality was no better. Viewed a couple of HD programmes on both the BV11-55 and the BV12 at the same time and the BV12 is simply incredible, in comparison. BV11's build in media centre is pretty good, with various apps, much like the Apple TV. It includes the BBC iPlayer.

One thing that disappoints me is the lack of colour conformity across the products. For instance, the BV11 has no orange speaker grille cover. But does have a new colour: blue (not the same blue on the A8). No green or brown speaker grille cover.

Worth upgrading from my BV10-46 to BV11-46? No. To the BV11-55? Maybe (at a later date). Prices are good value. BV11-46 was around £6500 and BV11-55 at £9300.

But after seeing the same HD programmes on the BV12 next to the BV11-55, I've realised how good the BV12 picture is compared to a top-of-the-range LCD.

It is :) The BV11-40 I saw earlier had the silver frame and was so much like the BV10-40, I thought it was a BV10-40.

You have an option between black or silver frame and black or white plastic back/rear.

Simply perfect in every way!!! This IS the BANG&OLUFSEN that i've been waiting for. I'm really not bothered that it is a smart TV as I will simply connect an Apple TV box to it and stream all of my iTunes content to it!

Reckon that I will be keeping this for a good 10 + years!!! It's art!

Almost like a Beovision 10, so not that spectacular in my opinion. But I guess that is what everybody wants.

Absolutely... but for me the addition of all the features (large number of HDMIs, HDR recorder, Media player, Smart TV, new video engine, etc...) is something I was waiting for.

Any word on the MasterLink capabilities?

That's a good first post mso7, would you care to elaborate?

Does this TV come standard with NL?

Can it be retrofitted to some recent Beovisions? (BV12?)

Converters available?

What does it do that ML didn't? Is it digital? Is it just one network cable? Is it IP based? HD video distribution? Surround sound distribution? Multi-room/Multi-source distribution????

Looking at one of the link, it looks like this TV will be able to stream to BeoPlay devices...

Now it looks like BeoPlay speakers won't be standalone devices any longer!

Looking forward to the unboxing/ installation pics!

I'm tempted myself too, subject to it costing no more than £5k [which is still BONKERS expensive for a telly box]  Will have to see how it compares to my Kuro PQ-wise.

Paul, you complete and utter closet chav. Big screens are such poor taste, fella Wink

The great thing with this TV, is that before, Beovisions where more expensive than other TV, they had better pictures and design, but they lacked some features that other TV had. With the new features, they'll be in almost every point superior to anything out there.

It's been a few years that I have been waiting for such a great product to be released. No I wonder what surprise the new NL will bring us, and what it means for the other audio products (BS5, BS5 encore, and unreleased).

Wow it really does look like a bv10 although i feel like it is specced up pretty nice. I love the addition of six hdmis leaving it fully future proofed in terms of connectivity, also those speakers on the front look like a major improvement compared to the bv10s.

I think that B&O  are going in the right direction with this tv but i thought it was supposed to be shorter than a bv10 it looks about the same to me.

It is "less square", a tiny but shorter than the bv10 from some photos.
