'Hi guys,

Is there a way to use a master control panel AV 9000 as a stand alone music center with just 2 beolabs and a beolink1000.

I fear it is no, but maybee there is hope...

Thanks

Hi

Yes you can do this I have done it and it still going after 10 years it's not cheap to do, it might better to get a used overture they are quest cheap now other alternative could be an active kit speakers plugged into that and ir sensor.

thanks.

I can have the beocenter AV 9000 and his center speaker with  the master panel for a few €, a bargain, but since I have no use of the TV set, I would like to use the master panel as stand alone music center  and timer in our bedroom.

I can also sell it back, but no ideas of its value. maybe as you mention it a simple active kit, but look a bit overkill just to wake up in the morning.

Please explain how you managed to do that?

I used to work as a salesman for bang @ olufsen and used to watch the service engineer repair the equipment I had a look at the manual for master panel and compared it to the overture, I changed the power supply unit and the front panel it took a while but it has been up and running for many years now, we also did this for a customer, I don't think its worth it now as we can pick up bang & olufsen hi-fi is quiet cheap now

Ok, so you did more modifications to make it works as an Ouverture.

I might have changed the micro processcor as well, it was a few years ago now but still going strong :)
