I guess that in the Din B&O Connector one pin is just a trigger to activate the speakers. Steve from SoundsHeavenly sells a connector with a trigger, a transformator 230 V -> 5 V 1 A max.
Do you think it could be possible to activate the Beolab 7-4 & 2 by usin instead the the trigger of me pre/pro HC (Emotiva UMC-200) ?
My Emo have 2 triggers output, they have a max of 100 mA. Is it enough? Tx a lot
Here is the UMC-200 Manual: "16. Trigger Outputs (2)These two trigger outputs can be programmed to control other trigger-enabled devices(typically they are used to turn on power amps, or amps in different zones, or possibly asub-woofer). Each trigger output can be independently programmed to turn on specificequipment when certain zones or inputs are selected. Maximum current draw on eachTrigger Output should not exceed 100 mA."
Samsung PS64F8500, Beosound 9000, 2 x Beolab 1, Beolab 7-4, Beolab 2, 2 x Beolab 4000, Beolab 3500, 2 x Beo 4, Emotiva UMC-200, Oppo BDP-103D, Panasonic DMR BCT-730; Harmony Ultimate.
Check out this thread, I use the trigger cables connected to my zone 2 trigger it works well

I am using a Pioneer VSX-LX60 to drive Beolabs.According to the manual the trigger out of the Pioneer provides max. 50 mA.
See THIS thread for details on my set-up.
Search the forum for emotiva, as far as I remember some users do have this set-up.

Thank you all !(and kallasr!) Do you mean that the Y-Splitter from Steve reduce the voltage from 12 V to 5V ?
And when you see Emotiva Forum, is it on thsi forum or on Emotiva.com ?Maybe you have a link?
Sorry I'm a beginner in according B&O & non B&O...

Yes, no problem! You don't need the 5V transformator. One of the trigger outputs of your Emo can replace the additional adaptor. Much better, because this way your Beolabs will follow your Emo. Emo standby > Beolab2 LED=red
Trigger output of your Emo is 12V, but that's ok. Your Beolabs can handle that. The current draw of 1 Beolab is less then 1 mA, so you're all good!
Thanks a lot DoubleU, it's exactly what I wanted... (Beolabs follow me Emo on/off)
I will not use the transformator and connect the cable to the trigger output of the Emo. With the Y splitter, 1 trigger for the 7-4 & the 2, second trigger for both 4000 (surround).
However it's exists an adaptor which reduces the voltage from 12 V to 5 V: http://www.av-connection.dk/?PGr=5665&ML=328
but if it isn't necessary... very well!
So now, at work! Thank you all!
I BOUGHT BY Steve the "iPod/MP3 to Beolab 2/7/10 Powered Cable trs/7dinPOWERED". It comes with an single RCA input and a powersupply for 100 to 230 V... Tha'ts exactly what I wanted to avoid: to turn manually on/off the Beolab's 7-4 and 2 because of this power supply.
A asked Steve before ordrering, he said trigger was not quite a good idea (he obviously prefers the power supply; but my mother language is french, so difficult to have a technical discussion...)
If the trigger can do it now, it's really nice, less things in the installation and much more confortable/easy... But your post and answers were very useful Ralf, thanks
I know realize that the adapters with a power supply of Sounds Heavenly are not the best solution, and I'll now order by AV-Connections.dk, the AV-TRMDIN8: for my Beolab 7-4 and my Beolab 2 (AV-advance Phono + Trigger to Powerlink, mono audio adaptor, center/sub channel (Phono RCA male, MiniJack - 8 pin DIN female), 0.35 meter), and will do the same for both Beolab 4000 surround.
You are welcome.
Please let us know if everything worked out fine after you made all the connections.
Well, I asked this morning AV-connection.dk, they have already answered: for connect the plugs you had on an old Beovision 5, they made a kit, which allows you to directly plug-in the already installed B&O Din !... http://www.av-connection.dk/?PGr=6660
That means that you theorically have nothing to do with your existing installation! Install the pre/pro of your choice with 5.1 RCA analog outputs, plug the AV-Connection RCA+trigger adapters directly into the B&O Din, and lift off!
Well on the paper that's a miracle. Order is already done, I'll come back to tell... does it work?
It works perfectly!
