Hi Colin, what source are you watching, and does it do this on all sources i.e. DVD/Freeview/Sky etc?

Have you tried turning it off at the mains for ten minutes? I have to say I haven't seen that fault before but if it is on all sources then its definitely TV related. Maybe a scaler board?

Hmmm. Doesn't look good - no pun intended. Are there any B&O service engineers near you?

The problem you described means a faulty screen. One of the SS/SC boards me be broken.

You could try to activate the Panasonic OSD. When even that doesn't work, you most certain have a faulty panel.

If you're able to provide some (monitor-plasmaversion) information.

Thanks to all that tried to help but Been told that it's not worth getting repaired. So if any one has a spare beovision 5 they want to sell cheap just let me know

cheers Colin

Lucky you Yes - thumbs up

i have a spare panel for the BV5 available if TS is interested. Repair of the original panel is also possible.

Oh this sucks.... I guess the BV5, how good they are, are just not feasible to fix.

Too long to list....
