I use Q-tips dampened with rubbing alcohol (which is 70% isoprpyl) in conjunction with one of these. And don't use alcohol on the pinch rollers - it will dry them out.
Beocord 5500; Hold stop while pressing play and the heads etc. will engage without a tape loaded.Pressing turn will switch direction, allowing you to easily clean both pressure rollers.Press stop when done.

Hi everybody,
since I'm one of those still using Beocords, I'd like to jump in. Which type of IPA is best to use? 70%? 100%? Does your "trick" only work with the Beocord 5500, or with the Beocord 7000 as well? I'll have to clean my 7000 soon and don't want to make any mistakes.
Thanks!
Kai
Thank you for the tip Martin!
It works on 5500 and 6500. Just checked.
