Your B&O dealer will fix this. 2 year minimum warranty and more you can expect as service. (See also the law for consumer rights......)

You can update your bluray player by yourself!

I am not sure you can update the firmware for the Blu-Ray Player.

The only firmware I can see on B & O's website is for the DVB Tuner.

You should check with your local dealer if a firmware update for the player has been issued.

If you have an ethernet cable plugged into your BeoVision7 you can update the bluray software on line. You don't need a service engineer for this.

I am interested in doing this as well.  Could you supply more detail as to exactly how you go about it.  I have a 7-40 mark iv

Alternatively, your dealer can give you the firmware on a CD, as far as I can remember. This enables you to insert the CD and upgrade the firmware, if you do not have ethernet internet access close to your TV.

I had the same issues as you (some recent Blu-rays wouldn't play in my BV7) and this was fixed in a drive firmware update. However, luckily for me, my dealer agreed to do the install and upgraded the TV sw at the same time.
