The solenoid in my 5500 jammed, unfortunately this has caused the solenoid coil to overheat making the whole solenoid irreparable. Is there a suitable replacement available? I have searched the web to no avail.
Where are you based?
Regards Graham
First make sure, that the burned coil is not a result of a short in the electronics.

I am based in Maidenhead Berkshire.
I have not checked anything else yet as the solenoid will need to be replaced whatever the problem is, so I thought I would see if a replacement is available before delving any deeper.
Most parts can be found.As Graham asked, which of the three or four solenoids in there are we talking about ?This one :

That is exactly what I need. Hopefully when it arrives it won't take long to get it going again.
Thanks Dean
If you don't check the electronics first you may end up with another burned solenoid.
//Bo.A long list...
If he replaces the whole assy (as pictured on the QDA homepage), he should beon the safe side.
