Beautiful signs but sad thing is that I am guessing that it comes from a closed down B&O store?
By the way, I would love to see a video walkthrough of you house :)
My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
It is, as so many stores closing down. I wonder why....

Never thought of that
Finally finished my job at Qatar and got a day off from my company.
What shall I do during this day with extreme high temperature 47 degr.
Right, shopping! Where too? Lagoona mall to find a B&O store Thanks Ahmad for having a nice chat at your store.
What do I need, actually nothing but I came back with a H6 headphone..
Talking about design....
Back home so time to work on my Beovoxes doing reclothing and refoaming...
Pins broken so I'm gonna use hook and loop to get the frets attached to the S45's.
Works great!
Few more M70's, S80's to do and I'm done....
Finished my white 6500 set which had those uggly white/yellowished plastic parts on top and and at the sides that also came came loose. Replaced it wit polished stainless steel mirror panels.
Sounds great with the MS150's. Now let's see how it sounds with my white Beovox Cona and white CX100's.
Could not resist to give it a new life...RL45-2
Some great work there Leslie. Looks very beautiful , your restorations.
Thanks Michael, working on 2 BM901, let's see how that works out. Pictures later......
I really like the way you refurb these RL 45 -2 ! I never saw the white one....
I'm eager to see your work on the 901 (I like the design of this small amp) !
Just finished a complete restoration of a BeoMaster 1500. Beautiful design, inside and out. With DC Direct-coupled amplifiers, same as the BM2000, 3400, 4000, and 4400.
Complete disassembly, clean and polish the wood and aluminium, replace all capacitors, potis, dial cord with fishing tackle, recalibrate.
I haven't had B&O in for a while, but I've got a couple of BeoGrams in for restoration now, so I'll be busy.
Leslie, how do you restore the transparent acrylic sliders so clearly?
After they've been cleaned with some unknown cleaner, they are cloudy inside. My normal Meguiars Acrylic polish did not help at all, because the problem is INSIDE.
Menahem
Menahem, I put my acrylic in pure citrus dishwasher soap and let it stay in for a few days. Makes it brighter but no guarantee that the yellow haze will dissapear.
Will finish my BM901's where you can see some differences in the sliders from one unit compared to the other. Pictures soon.

I don't do such things, it's not worth the money for this old junk but it's fun to get my hands on. It will be repaired though by my good friend Ipaul.

You will be surprised mon ami. They do look great with all those alu buttons.
Maybe the yellowing can be reversed with hydrogen peroxide / oxy action combined with UV light?
Check this out: http://www.exisle.net/mb/index.php?/topic/59657-de-yellowing-plastic-the-stain-isnt-permanent-after-all/
It is said to work on yellowed nintendos and lego and other old plastics. Maybe the clear B&O plastic also has bromine flame retardant added.
Great job on your restorations!

Worth a try, thanks!
BM901's finished.
Huh? One unit has 2 speaker outputs and the other 4?
Beomaster 901 was modified a couple of times during production. Two speaker sockets on some, four on others.Plastic side panels with veneer on most, a few with veneered aluminium panels.Different type of output transistors with different mounting methods and cooling fins accordingly.Different mains transformers.
Strange lettering on the bottom of the middle alu strip... Did you work it out ?
Martin
Whats the secret?
//Bo.A long list...
If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret, would it?
Very true.
Hint:The three numbers of the mystic lettering corresponds to frequencies from the three bands...
OK, its for adjusting the dial slider when the upper aluminium strip is not there
Mystic, did not do that myself.
Forgot my P50 speakers which needs a restoration. Perfect match with my white BM6000 and 4ch. Beogram 6000. So let's go...
Gonna dismantle all parts of the P50's first.
All drivers okay
New caps
Oops! One corner damaged... Need to fix that.
Repair of the frets.
Alu trims sanded to make them shiny again.
Rusty screws?
Cloths to be cleaned using hot steam.
Ready to paint, they already were in perfect condition but one has (had) a damaged corner that has been fixed. Just to avoid any mismatch in the white color I will paint them again (off white)
The rest will follow tomorrow. Tomorrow a beautifull day so definetely I will finish this restoration.
P50's finished. As good as new Can't wait till my white BM6000 and BG6000 quad are finished!
Now let's listen to some classical music from Mozart.
What's next, Beovox 5000 and my Beolabs 1 frets to be reclothed.
Oh god Leslie, you are in Turbo mode !!!!!!!!!
Each time I went to see you, I saw these beautiful panels. For me, they were perfect ;) but I know that there is a big difference between perfect for me and "Leslie conditions" ;)
great job ! B&O should give you a medal for saving all those beauty !!!!!
I'm also eager to ear dark side of the moon (I know you have the quadrifonic record ;)) with you on your BM6000 with your BG 6000 and those 4 beauties !!!!!! Probably in July ;)
One more time, you impressed me !!!!!!!

Me too, waiting for Olly (my UK friend) who's gonna give my BM6000 quad a full repair, new caps etc. Almost finished. Hope to meet you soon to work on my BC's
M70's to work on.
Btw, have this BG1200 frame/bottom for waste, If anyone is interested he/she can have it or else I will throw it away. It's not damaged...
Leslie, it's great to see this. All the best, Jaap.
Nooit gedaan.
hey Leslie, is that white M70 that I can see in one of your pictures ? I would love to see them ;)
Congrat for your refurb marathon this weekend !!!!!
Yes Jacques, got fed up with all that rose and other woodstuff so I will paint them "Evan" white. :-)
