Hi

Just wondering if its possible to fix the display on a 7007 - some of the pixels/LED bits dont work, so I get partial word s/numbers being displayed.

Thoughts welcome.

Possible? Yes.
Easy? No.

Replacing the LED joints, because that's what it is, requires hot air soldering
under a microscope.

The easiest thing, I believe, would be to find a replacement display (or complete board)
from a donor machine.

Thanks for your helping

one question I have is which model machines could supply a donor display?

Im assuming perhaps that ( for example ) a donor display might be common across several systems?

Any suggestions welcome.....  ;-)

I don't remember if the whole Beocenter 7000 range uses the same display and I seem to remember that there
are two different layouts but look up the part number(s) in the service manual(s) and compare.
