Hi everyone

In between setting up my pre rugby feast, I gave my Beovision 11 screen a good dust as it was sunny. When doing so I noticed a layer of dust on the inside of the screen, particularly visible when a black image is displayed.

99% of the time this would never be visible! but I fear it can only get worse. Has anyone removed the front panel to give it a dust?

Regards(CUMMON England) cough gggrrrr

Its very easy, 4 screws from the rear then the screen swings out from the bottom and lifts off.

Just checked and my bv11 as also dust under screen.

Did removed the screen several times on bv10 but tech says bv11 is different.

The risk is to put more dust trying to put it off (or marks).

It must be a design flaw if dust is able to come into the screen glass area. I have a 27" Apple monitor and it also has glass in front of the LCD and it has no dust at all. It is sealed very good. Why don't B&O do this? For the price it is quite unacceptable to have dust building up inside the TV.

It´s in B&O tv's roots to have dust under screen !

MX, Avant, BV 10 now 11. All had dust.

A B&O tv without dust under anti-reflections screen is not a B&O tv.

Thats cute but I think B&O should be able to advance their technology also :). I was about to buy a BV11 but is a bit off put by the dust issue, and some other issues as well.

The bv11 is an extraordinary tv in every aspect : picture, sound, design, materials, motorized stand, one perfect remote for ALL your features including Youtube, Spotify. And more.

But yes, with a LED maglight you can see some wee dust under the screen.

In one way that´s unforgivable whe all agree with that, in an other way, you can easily live with it and totally forget about it (untill the screen is all dust...).

Both BV10 and BV11 has edgelit Led displays but they both obviously suffer from dust inside the screen space. It is not acceptable and that makes it less extraordinary to me. They could put a rubber gasket around the screen so dust can't enter into it. It is actually quite ridiculous that a TV that expensive has such obvious flaws that so very easily could be dealt with.

I suspect there's some technical reason why the gap needs to be ventilated.

I don't think so. They should be able to cool it in other ways. They could also laminate the screen to the glass. That is how Apple keep dust and reflections from the screen in both iPhones and MacBook Pro retina. It works very well. There is several ways to do it and B&O has just been to lazy.

Here is some pictures I found online of the BV11 production by the way

True, however they did something right with my BV5 and BV9 as there isn't any dust in it.

Too long to list....

Im not sure the BV5/9 even has a piece of glass in front of it. They are both plasmas and have glass in their screens directly. So no dust can enter into it.

BV11/10 just have a glass cover over the thin LCD screen without any kind of gasket or anything, look at my photos.

BV7 probably has a sealed screen since it is separated from the loudspeakers also.

I imagine lots of dust getting to the screen because of the speakers and holes around the speaker cover - and from the behind of the TV due to circulation.

The V1 doesn't have a contrast glass either .. just a matte screen. It is good since I easily can dust it :).

I don't like the idea of having to remove the complete front of the BV11 just to be able to dust it! And I think it is quite impossible to get it clean when the cover gets back on because of all the air that moves around then and static electricity.
