Renovation part 1 finished.

A Beocord 1500 reel machine is finished stage one.

Cleaned all connectors to PCBs every was black of oxide there.
Recapped power supply
Oiled motor
Identified lampbulbs ( have no service manual )
taken out pinch roller for sending to rebuild.
Have to order new power cord ( the odd old 2 pol cord )
Cleaning up old mess inside mechanics.

Missing parts to this machine

screw to front deck.
plexi cover
B&O logo on tape head cover

Guess these are impossible to get hold of ?

Things still to do, when get the new pinch roller back

Mechanical problems with switch board, have not idientifed yet
Torx screw  and thread inside speed switch knob destroyed by previous owner, have to find somekind of screw

Trim the machine., any one that knows if it is possible to buy test tapes for reel to reel machines anywhere ?

I found this site for test tapes, dont know if it is active, for your speed dial drill the hole up one size and cut new threads. If I remember right its a 4 mm screw, Drill with 4.2 mm and cut 5 mm threads and put in a new 5 mm grub screw.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

No, I am going to get back to the 1500 later on.
I postponed the renovation as I wanted to synchornize pinroller orderings, and then other things came in between , I will update later on.

Thats the site where I ordered test tapes.
Expensive stuff, but I could not live without them
