Hello,
My Beolink Passive does not support the A.AUX command, so I cannot reach the Playmaker plugged in the A.Aux input of my BC2.
Is there a solution to this issue?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks by advance and kind regards,
Yann.

You can send it in to repair, so they can add that logic in a SW and hardware upgrade.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Thanks for your help.
I'll have a talk with my dealer.
Kind regards,
Try ”A.TAPE" instead.

The 'A-Tape'/A-Mem will only work if the source is connected to an AudioMaster with an a-tape port - such as the BM4500.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thanks to everyone for these tips.

It works with my bs9000 and bs1 so I assumed it worked with everything. Apparently, this is not true, but it is cheap (free) and easy to test.

I am aware of the 'workaround' with starting 'A-Aux' on the source and then...
Only thing is that you would have to mute the sound, or change to a video source in the main room after pushing the play button on the ir-eye.
Best thing is to search for a 'passive link' with at least SW1.5....
...or an 'active' (with SW1.5) and just use the 'passive' as an amp for it.
(Which again would give you the opportunity of connecting an additional local source ('PC'-command) to the 'active' in that room)!
I had to have mine upgraded to connect a sonos in a link room. Had to cut a hole in the plasterboard to get the unit out. Never thought i would need access to it once installed.

Me too!
BeoMegaMan:You plastered over your passive kit? Why would you do that?
Will have to take the hit ,it was my idea.
When I was wiring the house it seemed like a plan.

Building regulations/ codes keep developing over time.
25 years ago if an electrician damaged wiring during an installation or need to extend a cable run he wouldn't have hesitated to leave a junction box buried inside a wall; it was common and accepted practice. Until recently plumbers didn't need to consider the best places for water or gas system pipe joints etc. Now, at least in the UK, it is not permissible to bury any type of electrical junction box etc behind plasterboard/ drywall without access and pipe junctions are no longer allowed to be situated inside walls because they might leak unseen.
