Hey guys!
Haven't talked to you all in a while!
I have had a BV-8 40 for a while and it has a huge dent of the grill. Any ideas of how to fix this? I does not look like the grill can be removed. Do any of you experts have expeirnce in replacing the front casing of a beovision 8 40.
I want it to look new again! lol
Thanks in advance!
Hey Martin,
Thanks for the quick help -
I had read that somewhere else originally too, but when went to see how that would work it became evident that it is actually a metal grill that is glued into the entire front housing of the BV8-40.
Maybe there was also a version that had a magnet release?
thanks again for the response
I want to replace mine as well, but it seems to be glued on(?). The service manual is no help, as there are no disassembly instructions therein.

I think they did two versions of the 8-40 casing.
If it's glued on - which it always has been in my cases, then it's a casing change. Not cheap.
I have been told on several occasions though that there is a simple magnetic backed fret, so I'm assuming this was a 'Mk2' version. I may even have actually seen one - and it does kind of ring a bell, but I've seen so much B&O over the years my brains gone foggy..

Some great info here guys. Thanks!
Would any of you have an idea of pricing for the front casing of the bv8-40?
Looks like this might be my only option considering I was unlucky enough to have the glued on variant.
Thanks!!
Have not tried this myself but in Watch forums I have read that silicone spray can "loosen up" glue. Could be worth a try.
