Hi friends!I bought a used set of BL6000 today with a BS2300 and a Beo4. I took the front covers off to see how the speaker membranes looked and realized that the H6 ear cushion is almost the same size. I am thinking about switching to white front covers and to buy the wall mounts and use them with my bedroom V1 perhaps. I just got the things delivered to my job today. Will be fun to transport them back by train one piece per trip .
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
Man - you do have two arms, or?
That would be even more fun

What would be fun! :) I noticed that the BS2300 has a green light that is on even in standby. A quick google told me it might be either mute or a timer setting but I can't see how I can disable the timer that possibly is set. And it is not mute. Do you know? I also noticed after listening to Adele album ´21´ that the doors would not close properly all times. They get stuck half way there. If I remove one of either glass panels the other one will slide in completely. I manually pulled them back and forth a bit but it did not help. Perhaps I can fix it someway? Cleaning?
The BS2300 might be a funny ;-) early version - which had 2-way communication.
You'll need a BeoLink5000 to turn that green light off then.
The 'door problem' of these older BeoSounds is well known disease - but it can be cured.
Having the V1, you'd hardly need the 2300.
"What would be fun!" - seeing you with a BL 6000 under each arm...and the BS2300 in a backpack, of cource!

Ah! Yes it is probably old. The speakers S/N start with 12, 1997 I believe(?). I love the design of the BS2300. I had a Ouverture before and it was nice and this one doesnt have a tape player so it is much smoother in its design. Why do I need a BeoLink 5000 to turn it off? I mean how did it come on? :) It came with a Beo4!
How do I fix the doors? I was planning on selling it. I got the whole package for a bargain it has only been used rarely.
'Fix the doors?" Make a request here, if there is anyone who could do it (or guide you) in your area - or contact your local B&O store.
I am sure the 2300 was not always controlled with that Beo4!
Maybe some times in the arly day of its life it was 'told' to take part in a timer programming - and that was never deleted.
It would be the most funny thing of all, would if it wakes you up every morning at 6 am 😂

Yes the doors. I would rather do it myself since I am very technical myself. I´ll make a request as soon as I have taken it home. It is in my office now. I hope it wont start playing at 6 in the morning for all the people there haha :).
I hope I can disable the alarm some way :D
With the Beosound in standby mode, press the 'Mute' button on the panel (not on the remote). That should do it. With regard to the doors, try the following: Remove the doors (the 2 clips just snap off). Use a Q-Tip moistened with Wndex (or similar) to thoroughly clean the upper and lower tracks - you'll find them to be filthy. Then spray some silicone lubricant in there. Use the thin tube that inserts into the nozzle to minimize overspray (you'll still probably have to clean a little off). This fixed my sluggish doors. Good luck.

Thanks for the good advice! I should have brought it with me on the train today (gah!). But I didn't want to take it with me as my date to the restaurant so it will have to wait a few days! I got the feeling they where sluggish because of dust since they did move a few times perfectly and not just always.
I now have to figure out what to do with it afterwards. I get so sentimental with B&O gear :).
If my door fix advice doesn't do the trick see this thread and take Leslie's advice.
