Hi all! I have just a recent problem with my Beosound 9000 with it's vertical stand. Last week everything was working pefectly.
Since yesterday when I turned my BS on, nothing's happens, except the yellow light on the first CD, and the red light of this first CD turn on (instead of the standby one). But that's all!
CD doesn't mount and rotate. I use manually the button on the side for the second CD, nothing happens. With the button "Open": nothing!
I use the Beo4 for "Radio": nothing on the display, only the first red CD light.
In the bathroom, when I now choose "Radio": no sound, and nothing happens too on the BS9000 except the light...
Is it a big problem, doctor ? My 6 CD's are in jail...!

Typical psu faillure.
Mk1 and mk2 are not supported anymore by B&O. So some of them end up with me for fixing the psu's and/or lasers.
So, I hope you have a mk3 version.
However, you can lift the glassdoor by using some force. That way you can take your cd's. Only the one in the mechanisme can't be taken out.

In storage: Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000 (1960s).

If you have a reseller or someone you know who can do this type of work.
Otherwise use a B and O dealer who will have a repair facility.

Glad to read that the problem from the BS9000 was easily solved.
The psu is controlled by the processor. Different parts of the BS9000 are activated or deactivated when needed by the processor.
So probably by unplugging the BS9000, the processor was resetted.
If the problem occurs again and more often, unplug the BS9000 to prevent more possible internal damage.
