I have been told that the 11 will not function correctly when connected to this router. Any comments/suggestions would be most welcome
i should add that I have sky router wired to an Apple Time Capsule, which is in bridge mode. Does this change the situation at all?

Use the Time Capsule as your wireless router and turn off wifi on the Sky router? Then connect to the Time Capsule from your BV11. Works for me.
I've recently switched to powerline adapters though. Far quicker and essential for streaming ripped Blu-ray content from my NAS drive, via ethernet.
Thanks, so are you saying what I was told is correct, that the sky router does not function with the 11? Also, let me explain my set up more thoroughly:
i have aven indeed disabled wireless on the sky router, using the TC as my wireless router
I also use power plugs to hard wire the sky router to the Time Capsule, because the TC is in a different room from the TV and the sky router
if I bought the 11, and plugged it into the sky router, have I described your set up, which you say works for you?
thanks
One other question, can the 11 be connected to the internet wirelessly? This would help enormously as I am running out of ethernet sockets!
Excellent. Thanks for that. And what's your take on my set up explained above? Should I be concerned about having a sky router?
Problem is the TC is not in the same room as the TV
Also, how do I put sky router into bridge mode. At the moment it's the TC which is in bridge mode and that's dead easy to do!

"running out of ethernet sockets".
There is a remedy for that - it is called a 'switch'
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thanks, I am aware of that possibility, but a switch entails yet another box and a need for another spare socket!
