I've only ever removed the aluminium cover from the base on my avant to prevent it getting scratched whilst moving and that is just attached with double sided tape. I've never removed the stand entirely but the service manual appears to indicate there are four screws involved. The disassembly instructions state the following:-
Carefully place the BeoVision Avant RF on its side.Remove the 4 pieces of tape covering the holes in the bottom of the motorizedstand. Turn the motorized stand until the 4 holes in the bottom are aligned withthe screws. Unscrew the 4 screws to remove the motorized stand.
I'm not sure if this answers your question as I'm not entirely sure which part of the stand has been removed on your Avant.
Does this help at all? If not maybe post a photo if you can.
Kind Regards,
Martin.
And now the TV won't turn on. When I turn the TV using my remote it starts the power up sequence, but the electronic screen never "opens". The screen just stays black and the audio stays muted. It doesn't matter which input I use. Is it gone now?
Is the standbye light lit? If not, someone may have switched off the set accidentally via that silly orange/red button hidden underneath the screen at the front. As you say it starts the power up sequence, I guess it's connected OK.
Otherwise, try disconnecting from the mains for a few minutes and then plug it back in again and try again.
TV's do funny things - my BV7 the other night would not respond to any command from the BEO4. Unplugged it, plugged it in again and all is perfect again.
Dave.
Hi Dom,
did you try the orange/red button under the screen?. Try re-seating all of the connections at the rear too.
Shame you couldn't save it Dom. Never mind. Another may come up.
