Hello,
situation:
BV 10-40 (software actual build 224) in link room
BV 7-40 3D and BS 9000 in main room
Problem with BV 10-40 in link room:
1. Switch on RADIO (BS 9000)
2. Change to TV (BV 7-40) with LINK TV
3. Result: BS 9000 does not go in standby
4. Press STANDBY in link room
5. BV 7-40 goes to standby, but BS 9000 is still ON.
OR:
1. Switch on TV (BV 7-40) with LINK TV
2. Change to RADIO (BS 9000)
3. Result: BV 7-40 does not go in standby
5. BS 9000 goes to standby, but BV 7-40 is still ON
This problem appeared since one of the latest software updates of BV 10-40. My BV 10-40 has been updated for several times. After every update one problem was solved, but another appeared. It´s a real horror!
Any ideas?

Had a similar phenomenon in the past....
After connecting the white/blue wire with the pink one at every ML device, all worked like it should.

Marcus, what in the diagnosis lead you to that solution and why does it work ?

I don't know if this resolves YOUR issue - but lacking connetion between blue/white and pink can always lead to strange results/errors in any ML setup!If you are using ORIGINAL B&O junction boxes, the necessary connection between pin 3 (ML-Sense) and pin 12 Vml is provided internally by the jubction box itself.If you are using other ways to connect the ML-cables (eg. teminal strips or soldering) it is MANDATORY to connect pin 3 (blue-white) and pin 12 (pink)

My ML cabling in the house is done with CAT7 cable, so the blue/white wire is missing in general. I also did all the adaptor cables from RJ45 to ML myself and the first I made did not have the connection between blue/white and pink. A BV1L was connected to the ML network as slave with one of the cables where the connection was missing - everything did work as it should.
One day I replaced the BV1L with an BC1 and I had the problem that one of the master sources did not correctly power off. After some hours of troubleshooting I changed the ML adaptor cable and it did work!
So to my understanding there are devices that require the connection to work while other do not need this connection.

I am using the B&O junction box and everything works fine, only the described problem with my BV 10-40 in link room.
But I don´t know the reason because my setup was updated several times last year:
- Beolink passive; I connected the ML wire with the junction box (not much fun because now there are four ML wires connected in the box!)
- New BV 7-40 3D instead of my old Avant in main room
- Replacing the system module (Mk 2 instead Mk 1 before) in BV 10-40
- several software updates of BV 10-40 and BV 7-40 3D
In the past I only used the ML for listening music in link room (radio and CD from BS 9000 in main room). Since I have the BV 7-40 3D with a Technisat ISIO in main room, I also watch harddisc-recordings from ISIO on BV 10-40 in link room.
So I assume the new system module in BV 10-40 is the reason for the problem, but probably the wires in the junction box are the reason. I think first I will try it with my old MX 4002 instead of BV 10-40 and see what happens.

I have now changed in link room my BV 10-40 with my old MX 4002:
ALL WORKS FINE NOW!
So the problem is caused by the BV 10-40 with the new system module (Mk 2). BV 10-40 has the actual software build 224 installed.
I think I will change my stuff with the old one: Avant in main room and MX 4002 in link room. All worked fine from the beginning in 1998. Since I have BV 10-40 and BV 7-40 3D, my dealer has to visit me one time per month to install software updates.
IT´S A REAL SHAME FOR B&O!
The system module of my BV 10-40 has the software version 50.06a.
Does anybody know if there is an update available to solve the problem?

Is the "Power Save" disabled on your BV10?
I have used a BV10 with system module MKII for a long time without any problems
meanwhile my dealer had replaced the system module again and had updated my BV 10-40 with software build 227. He had also connected the white/blue wire with the pink one in the masterlink system (although this is not necessary because I use junction boxes). All without success, the problem is still there. Neither my dealer nor Beocare are able to solve the problem, Beocare didn´t hear of this problem.
BTW: If I make BV 10-40 to mainroom TV (V.OPT = 2) and my BV 7-40 to linkroom TV (V.OPT = 6), everything works fine. So it´s obvious that the BV 10-40 causes the problem!
It´s a shame for B&O that the BV 10 doesn´t work fine as a linkroom TV (V.OPT =6), although BV 10 is now for several years available!
