No, those are between the mech's main chassis and the mobile part (261). They don't appear in the exploded view.
Here the red arrows show where they are.

But seriously, although a bit daunting, they are more time-consuming than really complex.

Rudy, if you had unscrewed the solenoid first, there would have been nothing else to do that rotating the plunger to extract the lever!

This meaning you would have separated the solenoid from the drive mechanism by removing the two horizontal screws that hold the entire solenoid assembly it in place or the two vertical screws that just hold the solenoid to the bracket that is bolted to the drive?

So while I am waiting for the proper replacement belts from Martin (thanks!), I thought I use the time to write up my recent experiences with converting the Beomaster 6000 to LED scale illumination...what I assumed would be a one-weekend design effort (some 3D printing and LED soldering) turned into a pretty interesting design experience.

I do admire your work, quite impressive, and I appreciate that you are having a good time.I also like that what you do is fully reversible.
But you put a truckload of hours into this and you put another truckload oftechnology at work to achieve something that looks as it did originally.We have a saying in Denmark; "Don't cross the stream to get water".B&O achieved the same result by using simple lamps.I think, I would just have fitted new lamps and replaced broken sockets as needed.But that's just me...

A stroke of Craigslist luck, today! I was able to buy an almost pristine-looking Beosystem 6000! This will keep me busy for a while (of course it is not working, but that is where the real fun is...;-). I posted a couple of pics on my blog:

Regarding the Beocord 5000, I have read where people claim that deck starts to eat tapes when it gets out of adjustment. Is that something that is fixed with new belts? Or are there other adjustments that are necessary to make sure the BC5000 doesn't get to that point (of eating tapes)?

Good to know. I don't recall my BC5000 ever eating a cassette tape but I haven't used the deck since 1982. That is the deck I plan on rebuilding.

As I said...it almost worked...;-). When I tried it out after replacing the belts, it turned out that there was a problem in the electronic switch that made it rewind very slowly, and caused inconsistent Auto Stop and Pause functions.
