Hello everybody,
how do you remove residues of adhesive from prastic or acrylic without damaging the surface beneath? The perspex covers of the flat panel speakers are fixed with double sided foam tape. Without removing the residue it seems hard to get them fixed again. Additionally they are painted from the inside which makes it an even harder task. Any hints?

I used white spirit to remove old foam and adhesive from the glass panels and frames from my BeoSystem 4500 after getting it recommended by other BeoWorld members. Works like a treat! Just let it soak in, and the foam and adhesive should literally fall right off! And the paint was not affected at all. Just be sure to degrease the surfaces properly before you start reattaching the covers - I used glass cleaner.

If you get some scratches in the paint on the inside, just fill them with black paint. It will not be visible from outside.
