nor does it react to any of the buttons, either on the remote control or the stereo itself - except for opening the door and allowing changing of cd's. Otherwise, it does nothing else. So, electricity is not the problem. What is?
Odd... especially if the buttons don't work either.
Have you just disconnected it from a MasterLink system, or was it working perfectly and now just frozen up?
Lee
Hmmm, I don't know what the MasterLink system is. It had been working perfectly; however lately I have not used it that often, and yes it does seem to be frozen up except for being able to open and close the door. That's the only thing that works.
I think these units are pin protected? The doors/clamper will work, but nothing else, after a power interuption.
Check your owner guide for the pin and instructions on how to enter?
Nick
Thanks, Nick. Yes, I have tried that: i.e, consulted my owner's manual and tried to enter my PIN. But ALL buttons except for the 'load' button are frozen and don't work.
I am planning to go to the electronics store where I bought the system (7 years ago!) and ask them what is to be done because there seem to be no other 'homemade' solutions to try.
But thanks again for your suggestion!

- Perhaps a defective CPU board. This was the reason of my dead Beosound 3000 a few years ago
- Some kind of child protection / door lock? As far as I know the Beosound 3200 has a mode to be safe from childrens curious little fingers :)see this thread: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/9149/80509.aspx#80509
Hi TWG,
thanks for your suggestion, but I think my system is too old to follow the instructions you gave the link to, as my remote and the console keyboard have no 'shift' key.
I think I have to get in touch with B&O themselves about the problem. But thanks much for the time you took to write me. :-)
