Hello all,

I just wanted to get some advice about how I can integrate my Beosytem 7000 into my 'daily' entertainment setup. Currently all sources are routed through a non B&O av amp and all hidden in a sideboard with only the Beovox 3800 visible. My question pretty much centres around how I get the sound from various HDMI sources to the AUX IN of the Beomaster.

Current setup:

I've seen this HDMI switcer with audio out which seems like it would do the job but wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions or maybe a better way of doing it?

This is what I'm currently aiming for:

Does the AVR have Audio out (rca/cinch)?

Or does the TV have audio out?

What you need is an HDMI Switch and Audio De-embedder.

That would give you the analog-out and a pass-through of the HDMI for your tv.

The one in your link should be fine.

Here is another one:

If your tv supports ARC (audio return channel) be sure to get one that supports ARC.

If you want to keep your current receiver, you could use a single HDMI De-embedder from the HDMI-out:

Does your current receiver have audio pre-outputs?

Or maybe a digital audio output?

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Thanks for the replies kallasr / MM Yes - thumbs up

As I don't have a surround setup I'm not bothered about keeping the AVR (it was purely a functional solution before I got the Beomaster).

It seems the best option is the HDMI switch with breakout audio - then I can keep all the wiring that is currently in place but have the Beosystem being used rather than just sitting looking pretty!

Cheers!

Well I bought an HDMI switch with audio output and everything working correctly sound wise! Unfortunately one of the HDMI inputs, the Sky+ HD, is purple tinged Sad

The Apple TV was the same until I switched the HDMI to RGB HI but I can't find any similar settings on the Sky box to change. Hmmm - always problems!
