Millemissen:
Did you show your son this ‘working setup’?

Yes, I sent him that very photo last night.  But he's not fussed because he's moved on to a Panasonic GX something with 4K etc, plus accompanying soundbar.  He complains about my 'vintage' B&O equipment on every visit, but I'll convert him eventually!  Smile

You should change the conversation to something more contemporary to him.

Hello Beoworld,

Long-time lurker but grateful for all the great discussion and learning on this forum so figured I'd make it official :)

Here's my current set-up, but soon to be transitioned to a new home - will update in a few weeks with the 'family' when they're settled in the new place lol.

Thank you!

Thank you for posting your photos!  They reminded me of the movie "Diva", scenes in which bohemian Frenchman Gorodish (one protagonist of many), spends time meditating in his spare loft apartment, and Alba, the lovely Vietnamese shoplifter, roller skates around Gorodish's "pad".  Obviously you are quite up-to-date, but might enjoy seeing what rad-stylish looked like, to the pipe-and-slippers brigade.  (The movie is full of music, crime, and chase scenes, so not much of the loft is shown in the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lugx0xX2G54 )  Again thanks, for a boost to someone who lives with too much clutter...Big Smile

I recently finished restoring a Beomaster 4400 which Christian Leicht (leicht.io) helped me source. It is connected to my Beogram 4000 and drives a pair of Beovox S45-2. I plan on replacing the original plinth of the Beogram with a rosewood one to match the rest of the setup and getting the cartridge refurbished as it seems to be the original one. I also plan on getting new belts and generally refurbishing the mechanical part of the Beogram after the full recap I did during the Christmas holidays last year.

I was waiting for your reply, Martin Big Smile I knew you would notice it right away.

Previous owner serviced it, and repairman couldn’t repair it so he replaced it Sad

Any idea where to look?

Well, keeping an eye on ad pages, Ebay and the likes can often bring up the strangest and least expected things.
Best shot is probably finding a complete similar set in bad condition for use as a donor.

Nice set-up. I have the same in the lounge but I use M70 speakers. That all sounds really nice.

You really need some wooden piece of furniture though!

The deck in the Junior 510RG looks like a Philips 104.

Are you using the shape as rear surrounds? I was considering this as an alternative to some BL17 WISA speakers. How is it working out so far

Yes I am doing that. Works very good, off course separate surround speakers on each wall would give me a more immersive sound stage. But the shape are very powerful so it really adds to the surround. Also when playing music I use the shape and eclipse speakers together. So I’m quite happy with it so far and I still need to do some further tuning on the settings. My shape is connected with a cable so if you want to go wireless you need extra kit.

I am in Copenhagen for vacation currently and visited the store in Østergade. They had a small selection of apparel in store. Caps, T-Shirts and Hoodies. I didn’t know this existed and could not resist to buy one of the hoodies. They are made by the brand ‘Son of a tailor’ and have a lovely quality.
