Hello all,

isl it possible to use both masterlink sockets, the traditional and the RJ 45 simultainesly?

At the moment I have connected a Beocenter 2 to the converter. I want to add a Beolab 2000 for the bathroom to my system, but I don't want to cut the existing ML cable, to connect the Beolab 2000 with a junction box.

Thanks

Ralf

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that they are wired in parallel and can therefore be used together in the manner that you suggest.  Try it first with the converter switched off and see if the two sockets provide connectivity between the BC2 and the BL2000.  If this works I would assume all is OK.

Yes you can. That is why there is 2 x ML sockets on the converter. One is traditional ML and one is the newer NL. Think of the connection is as a pass through for continuation of distribution on an a ML network.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Thank you

These are really good news. I will start looking for a Beolab 2000 and I have to tell my wife, that I have to drill some holes in the livingroomSmile.

Hello,

I have some more questions about adding a link room to my setup.

At the moment I have connected a Beoplay V 1 with the NL/ML Converter and a Beocenter 2. Beocenter is in option 0 and Beovision in option 2. I have connected Beolab 9 to the TV. Everything is working fine, but I can not listen to the Radio of the Beocenter and have a picture from the muted Tv.

Will I be able to listen to Ml sources in the link room when watching Tv?

Regards Ralf

i guess the "link room" is the Beolab 2000. with the "Sources visible on ML" you do the button assignment of your remote heading towards the Beolab 2000. works fine with my old Beo4, e.g. the DVD button pulls HDMI 2 from the Avant, TV button drags TuneIn from the A6. i don't know how it interferes if you use one remote for all products; i have the Remote One for the Avant and the Beo4 for the speakers in the study and the Beolab 2000
