Hello all

My area has been targeted this month and had over 5 breakin's not nice feeing at all

Police have increase patrols etc in the area but the offenders seem to bust a window grab and run which is scary when your in bed.

Being worried I want to buy a wireless cam asap.

Quick question has anyone setup a nest cam with the BLGW ? If yes I will buy one tomorrow and set it up.

Also I think the nest can alert you if something moves.

Can the cam be shown in home control on the V1 screen ?

Nest is OK as a cam. Bit old now without any recent updates and the subscription service puts many off from buying, including myself. Works well enough though if you want to pay monthly for it. Other options are using your existing devices that have inbuilt cams (an iPhone and iPad for example) with a free app such as Surveillance by Reservoir Dev. Link here. Simon.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

I have a Hubble - allows you to set for alerts, both movement and noise. Also cheap! We use it for monitoring the dogs!

Well this is harder than I thought it would be

The nest is brilliant and offers nice design, access via app and web, online storage BUT no local access for streaming to BLGW

The net gear arla Q is the same great reviews but closed to local access

It appears I need the functionality of a survalience camera but with local IP access which most IP cameras have.

Looks like Foscam C1 offer local jpeg URLs for BLGW and viewing via home control on NL products

Also they offer remote viewing via app too :)

A single wireless cam ? That's not a serious way to protect your house.

I have invested into mobotix cam inside and outside, a fierce dog, wired and wireless detector with the alarm system, real and dummy outside siren.

When they have the choice they will choose the less protected house.

That's sad what's happened in your area, but this is an issue also for any area in europa.

I have my alarm and it's visible but I think the cam is for security and more my piece of mind.

Picture will help I will put it on the window Big SmileBig Smile

I have noticed the New BLGW Firmware allows H264 on the new Beolink App but not on home control on NL Tv's that still needs JPEG

Just ordered a Foscam C2 from Amazon for tomorrow delivery Big Smile

Tomorrow I will aim to get it recording and altering and visible in the BLGW

Today my Foscam C2 1080p camera arrived

It has live view and alters if it detects movement.

More importantly I put the URL found in some CCTV software and immediately on my Beolink App and via homecontrol on my V1 I have my camera view.

Now this works I will buy a few more.

You can use ispyconnet or Foscam offer a cloud based service.

I think I am swaying towards cloud based as then I have to leave my PC running and sync a folder to google drive which I don't want to do.

Seems I have found a solution Big SmileBig Smile

This is amazing.

So I have configured a Foscam C2 to my BLGW

I have enabled Khimo on the BLGW and now via my Beolink2 App I can see my camera when sitting at my fathers offices keeping an eye on my home.

Peace of mind

You can pull the images from Nest Cameras and store them locally, but not the live feed.

That requires you to create Nest developer account to obtain credentials for external script running say on your home server. But ideally you want to have 30 days recording and that is only available with pricey subscription, particularly if you have several cameras. On a positive side Cloud processing allows smart objects/face recognition if you aren't bothered with your live feed stored on Google servers.

Nest can also be integrated with HomeKit using homebridge, so you can use detected motion events to trigger lights in your house if no one is home...

Hi beoandy,

Just bought a Foscam C2 camera. Now I want to use this with my BLGW and want the view of the camera in my Webpanel and on my Avant/V1.

Which driver do I have to use to put in the above parameters?

Can yo help help me or someone else? Thanks in advance!

Greetings from BeoHut

hi beohut!

you need no driver! go in the blgw setup to interfaces and then on the left side to camera.

fill in the parameter as seen on my post above. (let the parameter pan commands, tilt commands and zoom commands free) "ip-adresse" is your fix ip address of your webcam. (without "")

it is working in the beolink 1 an 2 app and in the webpanel. i have no networklink based tv to test it!
