I have a pair of Beolab 20s connected to a BV7-55. One of the speakers has suddenly stopped working. When I turn the system on, the B and O logo illuminates just as it should, but no sound.

Any thoughts? Or is it time for a service/warranty call?

It started working again, as unexpectedly as it stopped.

Do a speaker reset. That is, unplug the speaker from the mains. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, then replug the speaker into the mains.

Around the time that my speakers began to behave badly, this kind of thing happened as well. One of the remedies was to "reset" the speaker. Now, mind you, this symptom may also be attributed to the nasty sounds from the BL20 armageddon thread.

You mentioned your speakers made that sound once, have you had them looked at, boards replaced? If not, this might be an indicator that you should.

Thanks! No they have not been looked at. The loud noise problem has only occurred the one time. As they have lots of warranty left I have been waiting to see if there were further problems, or more frequent problems.
