Hi Mjmedlo

A lot of the legacy equipment are already in rooms that need renovating in the main house and only 1 or 2 will be moved.

With regards to this new build in the garden, I will be buying a V1-40 for the bedroom and maybe a horizon or avant for the living room.

I will definitely buy another BS2 for the kitchen dining area. The family loves the BeoCone.

I will add the Beocenter 2 in the main living room for CD and anything else if possible. This is being moved from the main living room in the main house next to the avant. It's been there for years.

The living room, dining breakfast bar and kitchen are all in open plan and good space in the new build.

This is the first phase which is nearly complete in terms of wiring and then comes the whole house which is in the background of this picture below.

Kiran is this a second house in the garden (shrine to B&O) or is this a remodelling / new build ?

Love seeing your progress.

Hi Michael

Yes these are internal pictures of the new build in the garden - shrine to B&O πŸ‘πŸ»

I want to make sure every cable is right and in its place before anything moves forward. Big Smile

Wall opposite to Beovision.

There will be an iPad in a flush B&O wall mount and Grafik Eye QS on the left hand side of the wall.

I will have a Lutron keypad and alarm keypad on the right hand side of the wall.

Ensuite will have a Cat for ML speaker or anything else in the future.

Cables from the duct I ran the other day. Each cable was 70metres.

Living room Beovision wall.

These are the first real live photos of the iPad frames from B&O that I have seen, thank you!
They do look much better than the Beosound Moment. They should have made an aluminium frame like this for the tablet part of the moment, too.

Seanie_230:

The whole thing comes in 2 pieces.

The backing plate is screwed down to wall/plasterboard and has a little cut out for the cable.

The iPad is screwed down to the faceplate using the black clamps and allen screws. The black clamps have some very strong magnets to stick to the backing plate.

The face plate sticks to the backing plate with magnets and has its edges to sit flush and in place.

The kit comes with rubber pads to stick on the corners of the iPad where it is clamped down.

So you can just slide some thin plastic and pull the unit out the wall πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Pics below.

Thank you for your kind words Steve!

Wiring is nearly all complete.

Plaster boarding and all internal finish will start hopefully by mid or end of next week.

It has been 2 months so far from when they started making the foundation.

Good progress...

There's a lot of internal to do now.

Not much left externally except all landscaping in the garden which will happen after the main house is done.

Waiting for Lutron to come in and brighten up the place πŸ‘πŸ»

88 light fittings I count so far...

Excellent choice with Lutron!

I have some Lutron wall keypads and tabletop keypads engraved with e.g. Jazz, Lounge, Classical, etc. programmed for specific n.radio stations. I use this all the time.

Also, a very useful button to have on a tabletop keypad when watching movies is "Pause." This is another button that I regularly use. It's so convenient to just reach over on the side table and press the button to pause for a kitchen or bathroom break. I also have buttons for Cinema On, Cinema Off, TV, and News.

With the BLGW, it's so easy to program an Echo Dot on a nightstand to respond to voice commands to trigger your "Morning" and "Goodnight" macros via IFTTT. It's a nice luxury to control these scenes while under the covers with your eyes still closed.

Another nice luxury is to use colored Philips Hue bulbs for the showers. It's so much more relaxing than bright white light.

Exactly! lol. The "Abba" button is for emergencies when I need a bit of a smile. Please do share what you end up with as your button functions, too. It's always nice to get new inspiration. The great thing about the Lutron keypads and BLGW is that you can tailor it to work with your lifestyle. It's just a bit of a commitment to decide on the engraving.
