lawrencejmcook:Nice system, Dennis. I’ve never seen a Beogram 5005 with a Beogram 3000 lid (with the buttons). Nor was I aware of the BM4000/BC4000. Thanks for sharing.
They are pre-production units.I have an earlier version of the Beogram 5005 with the orange lettering and sloping dustcover. Mine is more "rough" and f.e. has unpolished and unlettered deck buttons.
Martin
Interesting, Martin. Does your 5005 have a red label? Mine only has a white label with some handwritten notes on. No silkscreen on the circuit board.
The serial number label on the Beocord 5000 with Beocord 4000 lid looks like this:
The latest one looks like this:
Same type number with '89' in front which I think means 'pre-production unit', as the same is the case with my Beomaster 4401s and Beomaster 6001.
/Dennis
My Beogram 5005 also only has a handwritten number on a white label saying "MPS 53" if I remember correctly. It appears very basic with f.e. no transport safety screws.
This one says "MPS 32".
Mine doesn't have any transport screws either, but there are some marks in the paint suggesting there has been some, so I borrowed a pair from a BG3500 I have for spare parts when I had to move it.
Some time ago i bought these beovox 5000 with beovox 5700 units in
They have amazing midrange and treble but the bass is way too loud,so after listening to them for a few weeks my original beovox 5000 mk.1 is back again.
Henrik.
Wow Henrik, those must be one-offs!
I bet they sound incredible too.
👍🏻
Jacques
Wow! The 4000s are so beautiful!
Yes i`m pretty sure it`s the only set in the world.
And the cabinets are pretty much like new,no scratches or other defects.
Here is another set of speakers i bought some time ago
After a thorough washing with nicotine cleanser they became almost like new
Some manuals and instruction for use came with them
Is the CD50 also a pre-production unit? I've never seen one with a drop-down flap and extra controls before.
AdamS: Is the CD50 also a pre-production unit? I've never seen one with a drop-down flap and extra controls before.
Yes.It was actually pictured in the first catalogues like this. But the controls were not brought on to production.

That is interesting and would have been kind of nice. I guess B&O figured it would be better to not add the complexity of the control panel door on the CD50 and opted for the IR remote control of those functions. I have one CD50 with the IR remote control and it works nicely. It allows me to use the CD50 with a non-B&O system and still control everything in the CD50.

Some nice pictures here!
Thanks for the link chartz, very cool looking at those prototype CD50 photos.... it has a fan! And two transformers! No wonder "the prototype is heavier: 7.9 kg against 6.2 kg".
I quite like the flap-panel and the displays but internally it really looks like a prototype! The real CD50 looks much more refined.
Hi Alls,
After a long search I finally got an U70. Warm thank you to member Square4 for:- reigniting the interest,- providing an accurate model to recreate the owner's guide,- kindly offering the real one which is now in my vault!
Below is the unit, perfect condition appart from left "Ear Control" lettering partly erased, with "recreated" ear pads, box and manual.I know manual and box do not match but the other box (as much as I may want it) is quite difficult to redo.
By the way, Units its this box seems to come with a leaflet with a curly haired guy viewed from the side on it: do someone have it and tell me what's in it?
Regards.
Hi matador.
I`m glad i could help. The box looks great especially the outer box.i love it.
Here is some pictures of the original box
Thank you Henrik,
That's THE box that matches the User Guide. I was tempted to recreate it but there is two main issues:- The cardboard has a linen texture on it difficult to reproduce and that would instantly reveal the cheat.- Even if, I don't know how to reproduce the black velvet cradle.
While doing my research I came across that second box design which must have been developed to reduce costs.Obvisously, it did also reduce the luxury feeling by making it looks like a counterfeit U70.But it is also easier to reproduce, so I have the first counterfeit box from a counterfeit looking U70!
CB:Mine is gone with the van
Funny... But not funny!
Last weekend i bought this quadrofoni reciever
the veneer was painted matte black but luckily with a spray can,so i could easily remove it
there was also a turntable
and it`s the very very very rare beogram 3400 with the cd4 module in
Today i got these 2 user manuals
The one with beocord 5000 is nothing special but the one with the beomaster 6000 i have never seen before
at first i thought it was for the very first beomaster 6000,but then i saw that there is a red light on the beomaster that lights up when using the remote control and only the last models had that lamp.
and it is only in Danish ,was it one that came with when you bought a beomaster 6000?
Maybe Martin can tell.
My latest addiction has been eBay.uk (I'm in America)
My latest addition was a pair of S-45.2's

Wonderful Beomaster and Beogram 3400 ! Nice find.
One of my latest addi(c)tions, an original white version of the Beomaster 901. Not that common.... 😉
square4: , Finally i found a beogram 6000 in oak to match my beomaster 6000 in oak
I adore this oak version of the Beogram 6000 quite rare and I prefer it to the 4000c completely overpriced.... and it is just a stereo model 😄. Yours seems to be in pristine condition. I think very few people in the world have a complete 6000 Quadriphonic system all in oak ! I have only the Beocord 5000 in this finish, a beginning.... 🙄
it`s really nice Jacques, congratulations on it.
Today i found this shaver
Both instructions for use and warranty certificate are included
Even the piece of plastic that lies above the instruction for use so it does not get worn is there
I already have this one too
I mean 3 different types have been made,so now the hunt has started to find the one i am missing
Does it sound nice ? ;)
blah-blah and photographs as needed
My latest B&O sound system is portable. Makes long trips very enjoyable.

Received a Beoremote Halo today. It's a stunning piece of hardware, except that the volume ring is a little bit loose. At this price the build quality should be more solid.
