It will never be my favorite, kind of cheap build, prefer my BG 5000 (pizza box).

Not really Jaques. It's fun to find things for quite cheap and let it repair by great repair technicians like ipaul and Blackrix, both Beoworld members.
Cosmetic part has to be done by myself. And I know a lot of resellers.....
Never owned a sub I liked. Really detested the whole thumping in the corner thing not to mention how most digital surround getups tend to trash the sound of music. OK for watching sports or movies on the boob tube but that was about it.
I know I read the theories about placement and sound and found that "theory" to be a bunch of malarkey. I could always tell where the sub was telegraphing its sound. No mistaking location - ever.
I have had Phillips, Samsung and Yamaha digital setups and they all performed like crap at music reproduction. I was so disgusted by the poor quality of the Yamaha sub I disconnected it and threw it in the trash.
So what lie was it that I was suppose to buy into anyways. Doing with monoblock subs makes it better because .......... The salesman said so ???
So this thing comes along and just kind of presents itself so I say why not. I can always flip it over to eBay and make a nice profit. But I am curious so decide to go ahead and set it up according to B&O's optimal suggestion and hey, ya know what, it dont sound all that bad. It actually works fairly well.

Just bought this:
I haven't tested it yet as there's probably some condensation inside. Unfortunately some guy hit the corner with his jacket when I was on my way out which resulted in a chipped corner... That's what happens. I do have some of the bits, but the wood isn't in such a good state anyway and has other chips, so I think I will refurbish it with some brand new veneer sometime.

Interesting serial number as well! I don't know how I keep finding these red labelled items, but keep em' coming! There is no manual nor installation CD, but I don't think I'm going to use the PC2 anyway - It will be a display item. I'll better get going with my homework!

Congrats Dennis, I love my BM 2400, its the one I play the most, its in my workshop and is used as background music while working, and the test amp for speakers and BGs,BCs and what ever.
Rich, the steely eyed missile man, just gave me this one, he will ship it to McAllen TX, and I will pick it up there.

Same here Soren and I seem to need the 1900/2400 restoration repair fix at least once or twice a year.
The total number is 11 I think although 2 ended up as donors for the others. I currently only have 5 in possession or 7 if you include the donors. The others have been given loving new homes.
The goofy remote helps give the set its special charm IMO.

You got it Soren .... and I am still in possesion of a couple tone control boards if and when your gives up the ghost completely.
I just leave mine in standby all the time anymore. Those tabs snap off pretty easy. If I want to power down I unplug the unit.

Today I found a Beo 610 (TR26). All buttons and knobs are in place, as well as the "coveted" power supply. The wood work and the plastic parts are in reasonable condition, though dirty and thirsty after wood oil. Inside the appliance, in envelopes you can find the wiring diagram for the device and also for the power supply. Missing one of the screws that hold the back cover as well as the lid of the battery box.

I have also this vary rare BEO610 radio but unfortunately without main power unit.
And does the radio work?
If yes, you would need only little job on the wooden case and you have a beautiful kitchen radio or eye-catcher in your flat ;-)

I changed the fuse and the light bulb and then the radio come to life! First with very low volume. I was turning the highest but could later cut step by step.Now it sounds like I suppose it should.
As you suggested, the radio to be used in the kitchen, maybe more like jewelry than as audio source. I miss a lamp in the radio station scale. I know there will be none but it had done well.

Thats not a bad idea!
A "pizza box", Beogram CD 50 sold as spare parts machine (not even as Fixer) because it just spat out the discs all the time got some attention, love, cleaning and new grease and chose suddenly to work without problems. It has played here all day and just go.
Maybe I'll build a stack of more "pizza boxes".
