Hi all, I am hopefully going to be purchasing an older BeoVision MX4000 set soon. It is getting shipped from Italy so I am definitely a bit nervous about it but I haven't been able to find an MX set in the US. I want to purchase the rotating stand for it but I am not sure which bracket of the two shown in the picture is the correct one for the MX4000. Can anyone help?

Hi Yardley,

The one on the left looks like the stand I had for my MX2000.

The one on the right looks like the one for my LX6000.

The model name is the giveaway. Motorised stands for the MX models were called MS nnnn, and the ones for LX were called LS nnnn. There should be a label on it.

And while the one on the left is the correct pattern, is it the right size for your TV? I suspect that the stand for an MX7000 would be too big for an MX4000.

Thanks for the reply! The stand on the left is advertised as being for the MX4000/4002. Picture of bottom shows model MB4105.

Just checked - MB4105 is indeed the right motorised base for MX4000.

And, not that it matters in this case, but for others who may read this later, I was wrong about the LX motorised base names. They too start MB, but with a different number afterwards. Similarly, all the motorised stands start with MS, whether for MX or LX.

Good luck with your purchase Smile

wow! Bang from Italy :)

I'm from there and bought a blue\azure amazing MX4000 set. In USA you don't have those tvs....

anyway i'm looking for a base for it too...can you help me to find the right one? That for the MX8000 is surely not good right?

A stand from the 8000 should work with the 4000. I believe they're all compatible with all models.

I don’t think they are interchangeable. The top plates of the stands are quite different. I discussed it here: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/5424/49424.aspx#49424

Further to the above - the top plates of the stands are indeed different as shown in the respective service manuals:

Each MX4000 stand (wall, floor or table-top) has a top plate that is part number: 3124122 (left photo on first post of thread)

Each MX8000 stand (wall, floor or table top) has a top plate that is part number: 3124117 (right photo on first post of thread)

They are not interchangeable - you need the correct top plate for your TV.  But you can probably swap top plates between stands as long as this doesn't cause instability. (i.e putting a MX8000 top plate on a stand designed for MX4000)
