Hello,

Not sure if the subj is representative, but I recently got a Beomaster 5000 that 'just' needed no-load current adjusted in one channel. So it plays fine.

Yesterday i discovered, that when there is signal on TP1 (Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6) it plays this, no matter which input i select. When PH1 is selected, it will happily play PH1 and TP1 signals overlayed .

This can't be normal behaviour ? I'm handy with both soldering iron and scope and do have the service manual at hand, but could really need a hint as to which direction to look ?

Could be that the wrong pins in the TP1 DIN plug are used.
= Playback is done backwards through the record signal path.
If so resolder the cable to use the correct pins - or replace the cable/adapter with one meant for playback rather than recording.

Thank you Martin,

I'm using the jack-plugs (phono-plugs?), so that cannot be the case. Forgot to write that little detail.
So it could be because i have connected the jack-plugs on outputs rather than inputs ?

Yes, it could be.
Should be easy to check.

Forgot all about this post, but of course I had used the outputs. Tx Martin :-)
