Hi, hoping someone might know how to or where to fix in Sydney Australia a Beolab 3, 1 speaker only plays sound from the siler hood on top, the side speakers emit nothing. I also have the casing a bit scratched, wondering if anyone in Sydney has a suggestion as to where to have them re-sprayed.
Had the same issue with no lows, the bass amplifier was broken. I was able to source one from eBay, with the service manuel it was an easy plug and play job to fix. Maybe you can find a broken BL3 with the most common failure of the power supply (does not switch on at all) and you can just take the amplifier from it. The previous owner of my spare part did exactly that.
hope that helps
Repainting Beolab 3's are easy to do although you have to take them apart and you should use a anti-static bracelet.
I removed the original paint using paint remover, washed them and then after the dried I sprayed with an kitchen appliance spray in a can. Gave a beautiful smooth and flawless finish.
Wow, looks great, do you have a link to how to dissasemble the units by any chance?
Thank you, I'll keep an eye out on EBAY.
