Hello Gents,

Quick question. I have searched but got conflicting views.

Besystem 3 Mk1 connecting to LG CX. I have already purchased the HDMI lead and the adaptor from Steve but do I also need to buy an optical cable so I can hear audio from the TV apps such as Netlix?

Kind Regards,

David.

I've used a Marmitek 4K extracter with E-Arc and Audio out over hdmi. So, you're not limited to DD/DTS 5.1. Hdmi has uncompressed audio formats.

Doesn't work flawless as I have to switch manually on the Marmitek to E-Arc. But after switching on, it works well.
Named 1 input on the BS3 "TV" and used the hdmi socket at that AV to send the audio over. I use 2 PUC's in the BS3. The first one to switch on the LG, the other to control the LG panel throught the (4K) apps. No problems with lip-sync.

This is the one I have:

The ARC led switches off every time I put the LG to standby.
