Is the Beocenter1 remote control useful for anything other than Beocenter1?
http://tinyurl.com/qj9cjsf
I wouldn't say useful, but there is a sequence of key presses that sets up a Beo1 to control other TVs as follows:
Press Standby+Display+Stop at the same time
Press Stop and hold the button whilst pressing double arrow right, then release both
Then press Display once
I had to try this a few times before getting it to work, but even then the functionality is very limited!

Thank you! That is, anyway all?
Useless but goodlooking little bugger.

Yes, I used to display one in my little museum!
Hi,
I used to have an interest in that remote to control Beocenter 6 basic functions: Volume, Source, Stand.
because it is better looking that a beo4 (even if the beo4 is better looking than…)
A member from Beoworld lend me one. My conclusion was it is quite useless.
I replaced it with a well programmed Beo6 with unresponsive screen but that do a perfect job at what is needed.
I did see a thread in the forum years ago where someone took one apart and inserted a ATV remote (white one) into the case to control their ATV/Mac Mini.
The buttons all lined up inside and it worked.

Here, but sadly the photos are missing: https://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/34291/282837.aspx#282837
What a pity the pictures are missing. I did consider getting a Beo1 to convert but never got round to it .
I eventually got a Beo5 and Beo6. I now also have a Lintronic, and getting to grips with that. You can change what you can control with the Beo1 using the Lintronic including non B&O. But as there are so few buttons you are still restricted to how many functions.
Best looking remote ever. For some reasons,it attracts ladies attentions.. I am still using it with my (still good working) Beovision1,ended up wall mounted in a garage.
