Hello Beo World
I bought and assembled a Beoplay A3 and an IPAD2 successfully
Question: which APP to load/Install fom App Store to make both running

worst case: App is not avaiable in App Store - because it's too old

if so  - are there any alternatives?

I really appreciate any feedback

thnks

Good evening,

If your talking app in the meaning of drivers etc, there is no need of it. The specific setting for speakers appears I the settings menu even without app.
The original Beosetup App that you can't download anymore if its not in your download history, only allows firmware update which indoor case may be useless.

Doesn’t the A3 just amplify the sound of the iPad with no special apps needed? I just put mine up for a Xmas online gathering. Had it running in my background (for viewers to see via webcam) and played some TV series via Swedish broadcasting app.

Put a small Santa hat on the corner of the A3 and everytime a character was ‘wearing’ the had we toasted. It worked still like a charm. So if you have a working iPad 2 (or 3 even with 30 pin connector) you’re good to go. Enjoy!

The A3 still is excellent.

And it is very sad that a lot of my/the apps aren’t supported anymore on the old iPads.

Mine would be ideal as a small ‘tv’, if only the app of my tv provider was supported ;-(

How does it sound? Can you compare it to any of the current Beoplay speakers?

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

I do agree  with Millemissen - The A3 still is excellent - and sounds very good - simalar to Beoplay A1 - but Stereo :-) (I only have one piece Beoplay A1 - but looking for a second one)

As a matter of fact, I was using my A3 in the kitchen exactly for that purpose every morning. And same as in your case, the tv app does not work anymore on the iPad2.

So now it is only the clock/weather app combo and I still like it! :)
