Help Penta II

Hi

I had a recent power on/off problem with the mains and it fluctuated, now one of my Penta's is not working, no lights or anything. I checked the fuse in the plug and that's fine - is there an internal fuse. I looked in the manual but no mention of one. Do I have to remove the amplifier in the base to find it - or is it the end of my beloved Penta?

As ever, any help would be much appreciated.

You have lay the speaker gently on the floor and remove a single panel from the bottom of the amplifier (fixed by a single philips head screw). Remove the PL cable in order to remove the panel (and the mains naturally).

Beneath you will find two different fuses. One is for the display and the other is for the amplifier. If I recall correct the amplifier fuse is 2A. The colour code on it points to a quick burning fuse.

Just a quick update, I did as you said, and hey presto, all working again - very happy and releived.
