Greetings all. Total beo virgin here.
Just picked up my first. A Beomaster 1900. All was swell until powered up this morning. Standby came on. Pushed FM 5. Phono light came on in addition to FM 5.
Unit was now in phono mode.
Every other mode pushed came on but phono light remained on and kept unit in phono mode.
Have shut down and restarted may times. Always same result.
Your adult supervision would be greatly appreciated.
Much thanks in advance.
Alan
Welcome to Beoworld !
Could be several things. Could be as simple as the transistor related to the Phono sensitouch pad, could also be ripple onthe low voltage power supply from dried out capacitors and/or a defective rectifier and it's not rare to see wrong wattage lamps causingthis - and many other similar - problems. Finally, the Beomaster could've been put together incorrectly, it's not the easiest thing if you don'tknow how.Capacitor - and lamp kits are available, as are new rectifiers.

Thanks much Martin. Will dig in.

No prayers or wailing will help you, only hard work, I did my BM 2400 with Martins kits, get the trimpots too, and check the Treble Bass and Balance sliders when the BM is open.
