Set top box controller

Can anyone tell me whether the software for the STB-C is on the module itself?

I have an Avant that died, but the STB-C is the latest update. I want to put that module into another Avant..... Will it work?????

the chip with the wanted (latest update) codes is in the STB-Controller Module so it should work if both Aants are not to different. There are just two cables connectedto the STB-Controller. One is connected to the Avant and the other one is for the connection of the small PCB containg the 3,5 mm phone plug for the IR Blaster.

As stated, you can transfer the STB controller completely or just the chip
