Søren Mexico: Millemissen:Why not enjoy music as multichannel sound, when you have a nice B&O setup. Why not enjoy music like it should be, in front of you, 2 channel stereo, , listening to Chuck Berry, saying good buy to my Beovox 3702 as main speakers in my living room, tomorrow the M70s will reign there, there is a lot of good music out there, but somehow I cant get away (and dont want to) from Chuck and the Rolling Stones, I listen a lot to other music, but always get droven back to those. BTW this double LP is pressed mostly from old mono recordings edited to stereo, very good result.

i do enjoy music in 2 channels too - and I (as you do) like the Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry - after all, I grew up with them!
But declaring that music should be '2 channel stereo in front of you' seems a bit too oldfashioned.
Why should a 2 channel reproduction be the real thing?
I'd say, that it depends on how the music is captured and mixed!
Didn't you notice that you are contradicting yourself in your post?
You write about a mono recording (the real original one channel recording) that is manipulated to a 2 channel version!
When I listen to real-life music it definitely isn't coming from 2 channels in front of me. It surrounds me

Diana Krall is blessed with a great voice, and she also happens to be a fine jazz pianist. Wallflower is a pure pop product. Diana, you can do better than this. Don't listen to David Foster the new Chairman of the Verve Music Group, this album is nothing more then soporific schmaltz. It even don't sounds good, her amazing voice sounds awfull, as it was a cheap computer post-production voice. The label’s future as a jazz mecca looks gone with that Hollywood of fame star David Foster.
This record wasn’t made for me.
"Believe nothing you read and only half of what you see, let your ears tell you the truth."
I did listen to that album yesterday evening too.
A bit boring - I have to say.
Probably the first and last time - glad that it was from WiMP/Tidal, and that I did not spend specific money on it.
N.B. I like the other albums, that Diana Krall made.
Have a listen on Deezer to the Bas Bulteel Trio at their first CD 'Coming Home'.
Bas Bulteel one of Belgium's rising jazz pianists together with drummer Bruno Castellucci and bassist Bart Denolf (worked with Toots Thielemans, Philip Catherine and others) made finally a first CD.
Chris Lambrechts from Avid did a fine job on recording this CD with the new S3L system, the output from the HDX card inside the E3 engine sounds amazing. Input came from U87 and R122 ribbon microfons. The whole CD and especially the Bosendorfer piano sounds great.
I'm proud to have Bas Bulteel as a co-resident in my city.

One Mint Julep - Buddy Morrow
Just stumbled upon Celtic Woman on Youtube. Odd - from the settings, it would seem they are very popular in the UK, but I have never even once seen anything about them in the local media.
It's obvious the girls are quite talented and painfully pretty, but I still cannot make up my mind whether this is honey-dripping kitsch or great entertainment.
(I picked up this solo performance because it is awesome.)

Once upon a time I joined this jam session in a pub near Aileen Donan Castle on a saturday evening. They were professional musicians working in Scotland and coming home at weekend for this nearly private session. We enjoyed it.
Ricardo: One Mint Julep - Buddy Morrow Had a listen to it on Deezer. Nice music for a calm Sunday afternoon.

Hi Dom,
Yes indeed, the quality of the new vinyl is quite remarkable.
I mentioned a few months back how blown away I was with the new Bette Midler album “It’s the Girls” and I absolutely love it.
Played on my iconic Beogram 4000 it sounds as accurate as the real deal in person. And in fairness, it is almost as good on the Beogram 4002 with its Beomaster 2400.
Yep, time for more records!

I did a bargain, just bought a new album from Qobuz in HiRes. One of my favorites....
Testing my latest turntable on the kitchen table with my all time favorite record.
Soren: she works flawlessy. Thank you.
I went scoping out Detroit metro area record shops preparing for Record Store Day tonight and found a gem - Dearborn Music. Absolutely spectacular shop that has apparently been around since 1956!
Came home with two albums from Portugal. The Man - American Ghetto and Evil Friends. Generally very hipster-ish rock with some real hot spots with excellent character. Strikingly similar sound to Foster the People. A couple notable tracks are "Do What We Do" and "Modern Jesus".
Beo4 'til I die!
just bought Status Quo's Aquostic stripped bare album....
it came out late 2014 and the original concert was recorded by BBC2 at the fantastic Roundhouse in London (a converted railway engine shed).
using the same formula as MTV's unplugged Quo have gone back to basics adding a hint of a Cajun style to their pop rock. It's great to hear strings, Mandolin, Ukulele and Acordian mixing it up in a fast tempo...
brave move that could have easily not paid off especially listening to their fan base before the start of this project.... what you get from this album is good music is always good music what ever style, beat or genre...

There aren't many in Germany either - it is 'Flenburger-Beer-speciality'!
And you certainly don't see any in Denmark 🍺
P.S. My son (well, and I) enjoyed the meal.

If you go vintage, the speakers does it, playing through BM 1000, BG 1000 SP6/7, M70s and going nostalgic, if the FS comes home I am going to dance with her

Hi Rich,
A Taste of Sanford? I’ll bet it was fun! Those quaint little towns have something special all to their own.
I also like the Plant City Strawberry Festival (another small town) for its upbeat spirit…. as well as the strawberries.
If you like cars at all, the Zephyrhills bi-annual Auto Swap Meet at the fairgrounds has pretty good car stuff and insanely tasty food that will probably kills us all….. but who cares? Delicious!
Lastly, and this is admittedly unashamedly biased as I worked for the city, the Pinellas Park “Country in the Park” is just a lot of fun: really good music (better than you might expect) and great food offerings from an assortment of vendors.
