Just thought I would get the ball rolling here on the new forum - let's here it. What are you listening to??

I am listening to We Are Young by Fun. the song featured during a Superbowl ad.

In about 2 hours after class is over, I'll be heading to the music shop to pick up my copy of Walking On a Dream by Empire of the Sun.

Currently listening to nothing.  Indifferent

In 35 minutes I will listening to our Vice President of Sales drone on about asphalt plant efficiency.  Sleep

In about 5 hours I hope to be jamming.  Cool

If any of you are into instrumental with a mix of electronica/dubstep I highly recommend Country by these guys. Brilliant jam.

Warning: The whole disc will take some getting used to!

Yesterday I burned a few dozen CDs of iTunes purchases made in the last year or so.  Had my iPod Touch stolen so wasn't able to listen to the iTunes purchases in the main system.

Listening to some of the burns on the CDX this morning.  Currently playing:  Primal Scream's "Screamadelica" - a recommendation from Puncher.

LOL

What's gonna work?  TEAMWORK!

My kids just left with their mother to go to church.  (Yay for them, says the heathen.)

So the volume level on the BM4000 (thanks again, Jeff!) just went up!

@Keith:  BTW, when I got the email notification of Jeff's reply to the thread, the link sent with the notification has this URL:

http://forum2012server2.beoworld.org/forums/p/66/785.aspx#785

I believe the "server2" part needs to be dropped, yes?

Sorry if this has already been pointed out.

Just got a text from the wife that she and the kids are getting Chinese food with her parents so I'm alone for awhile longer.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.

So, time to put something on the wife can't stand......AC/DC Back in Black 180 gram LP reissue will fit that bill nicely, thank you very much.

Now watching Michigan versus Illinois on my desktop in the bedroom (S45-2s for audio) while partaking (early) in the load test.

Every time I think of this load test, the following goes off in my head:

"PC load letter!?!?  PC load letter?!?!  What the **** does that mean?!?!"

I do not have Out of the Blue - just Face the Music and Discovery.  ELO are one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Tonight, however, I'm partying like it's 1999.

Yes! One of my all time favorite songs. I personally prefer the recording found on the "Clapton Chronicles" album. Amazing. Simply amazing.

EDIT: Looking over some youtube videos of Clapton' Layla unplugged, sounds like we are on the same page (same recording)! Brilliant taste you have there!!!!!

I downloaded a new album this morning and haven't listened to anything else today. Who? Dessa. I had never even heard of her (or heard her for that matter) until a friend let me listen to some AKG 242's and she was playing. Kites  has to be one of the best things I've heard so far this year. Incredible stuff!

No, no, no!  "Layla" isn't even the best song on _Layla_ - that would be "Bell Bottom Blues."  I insist you check it out.

Downloaded - very nice! Me likey. As of right now, the recent recording of Layla still bests it. But who knows, that could change.

I highly recommend it even if you aren't into hip-hop/rap. This isn't your typical rap... Nor typical Dessa from what I'm told and what I have read. I detest rap with every ounce of my being, but this is an exception.

At any rate, prepare your subwoofers!

Night Train to London is another one.

Whenever I was depressed, I would typically put on Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut," perhaps the most depressing piece of music ever recorded by a rock act of any note.  After getting through

"Thought I oughtta bare my naked feelings/Thought I oughtta tear the curtain down/I held the blade in trembling hands/Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang/I never had the nerve to make the final cut"

the world seemed just a bit better.

Yeah, but I like living life on the edgeCool

For the fella's above, if it's any consolation a whole heap (ok, about 4) of single girls I know were complaining that they didn't get so much as a card on valentines day. Lots of miserable wimmin. Hang on, maybe........
