Rich: Ricardo: Bad Boys Get Spanked Nice system. Even the FS says that one's pretty. Which speakers you running these days? PS Always dug the Pretenders. Had tickets for their '86/'87 tour but they cancelled. Mick Jones' Big Audio Dynamite was to open. Saw BAD at Harpo's in Detroit instead.

Redlines RL-60 with alternate fabric. restoring those was one of my first Beo projects The plate were gone so I had to fill the hole with passive radiators. I cant believe it has been 8 years already.
More Pretenders
Nice touch with what looks like two movie cameras and a classic Polaroid.

The Polaroid was the old family camera bought new in 1960-1 I would guess. it should still work although getting film a new vattery and flash bulbs might prove a bit of a challenge. My mom was simply going to toss it.
Some Norwegian folk contemporary or whatever it is on "that other" setup - all I know is if you guys give it a fair listen you will likely become fans.
Hi Richard,
I spotted the Tandberg right away and I am sure I'd like it. (Most of us would!) I even looked to buy one a couple of times, but each time I found one, they required "service."
Plus at some point I have to "grow up" and accept that any adult with 11 amplifiers doesn't really "need" a 12th. Plus I have 2 amps in for repair estimates with another one waiting.
I think I shall just admire yours vicariously.
Ashes Of The American Flag
I see you have a Beocenter 9000..... excellent choice. I just LOVE mine, for the fantastic design AND the sound quality. Plus all those features from a remote. What's not to like, right?

Hey Rich,
"So much Beo. So few rooms?" No problem, ya just got to be creative.
I have three systems (Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000, Beomaster 2400.2, & B&O Century) in the master bedroom; a Beomaster 4500 in the kitchen, Beomaster 1600 & 2400.2 in the dining room; and the Beocenter 9000 in the media room along with the mighty McIntosh 2255.
A second Beomaster 1600 along with a Beomaster 1000 are out for rebuilding. But not to worry, I have places for them both. That and a VERY patient spouse.

So few rooms.

Thats the spirit, When my son moved out, I moved his Bed to the home office, his room is now my workshop for electronics. And yes, I recommend hotels for overnight guest, I even get a discount at one of them
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Hey Richard & Soren,
I like the way you guys think! You set a fine example for all of us.
The Benny Goodman Story
Excellent choice! How I "miss" the forties. (No, I wasn't alive in the forties, but love the music.)
Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey too. And for God's sake, I can't forget Desi Arnaz.
Duke Ellington at the Cotton Club - recordings from about 1927 thru 1929 or so. Plus another of his masterpieces the sound score he wrote for the movie "Anatomy of a Murder". The movie that made George C. Scott a star.
Yesterday evening, I was delighted listening to FIP radio.
It was a Al Jarreau special night. WOW !
Then I heard it was a special night because he died.
2016 was a sad year, 2017 continues...
Beautiful equipment Henrik, I especially like the Platters cassette for your Beocord 9000.
Here in the great Frozen North (Canada) I have been listening to an audio treasure Susanna Rinaldo, an LP from my miss-spent youth.
Guys,
I am really on a roll thoroughly enjoying my new Beolab 5000 and LONGTIME Beogram 8000 (owned since new). Went from Classical Argentine Susanna Rinaldi to a REAL "classic," The Spinners Dancin' and Lovin'.
There is just something about the late seventies disco music, tame by comparison with the eighties, but still special..... at least to me, anyway.
BOY am I ever glad to took such good care of this album, which is like new. Even at reasonably high volume there is not a scratch or pop anywhere in the LP.
I guess my miss-spent youth wasn't entirely miss-spent, and I have this record to prove it.
Today i was listening to a Danish singer ,Jacob Dinesen and of all my 4500-5000 records, those is probably the best .
Henrik
Chuck Berry who have been giving us so much good rock and roll music has gone away, RIP Chuck, your music will stay forever
Søren Mexico: Chuck Berry who have been giving us so much good rock and roll music has gone away, RIP Chuck, your music will stay forever
Oh man, Chuck Berry really did it to me, I am sitting here and just dont get it, I have been listening to his music since my early teens, and in later years when I played a Chuck Berry LP it was like having a very good friend visiting. May he have a safe journey to where ever, and may his gods go with him
Good God Soren,
You said it perfectly.
As an American, I grew up with Chuck Berry and miss him already.
Guess which amp will blast Chuck Berry tomorrow? That was a trick question, not the Beolab 5000, my cherished Seeburg M100B.
Soren,
When I was having all that horrendous trouble with My Seeburg jukebox I made a video of the mechanism in motion. (This was PAINFUL to watch) However, just for you, what record do you imagine I was playing?
No, you will never guess. Johnny be good. I thought you would enjoy seeing this, but it is 335mb so no chance I can send it through email.
God bless Chuck Berry.
Definitely going to listen to this today
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Millemissen:Definitely going to listen to this today There is a tv - and there is a BV.
Duels:That's a coincidence. Spotify just played that for me following a Bruce Springsteen song!
Looong Chick Berry session today - still goes on ;-)
Nice one, this one....
