what if you fell in love with the cover before you ever heard the original?

Rich Kids Blues.  ...And I won't even bring up the Marianne Faithful version!

ahhhh!  The Talking Heads!  Is this the last huge band we are hoping gets back together for one last tour?  Forever, it was the Police, then they toured.  I can think of Talking Heads and Rage Against the Machine.

I wish! David Byrne seems completely uninterested in any sort of reunion unfortunately (which makes sense - he's probably not the same person he was back then and he's doing new things now and probably doesn't want to relive the past). We can hope though! Would love to see them live.

A mixed bag ... some recommendations from one thread about bass tracks for BL3s + BL19 ... followed by some Santana with my neighbour who is a museo and knows a fellow drummer in Santana’s band (they toured here) followed by a local recording featuring my neighbour/ friend followed by Obama’s playlist likes for 2017 ... this was accompanied by 50/50 shares in some fine red wine 🍷 🍷

Chuck Berry Live at the BBC 1972 concert. NAS->ATV4->VLC->TV->Beohub->Beolab 4.

If you are into Chuck Berry, this is outstanding stuff! Also, some of the best rock-piano work I’ve ever seen. Fantastic timing.

I have grown to love Leonard Cohen ... both the poetry, and more recently his “matured” voice ... so these two albums were an interesting experience !

As a tribute to Geoff I listen to Ode to Billy from the album Ballads,, who also happens to like Paula Cole.

In fact - being an album listener - I listen to the whole album....an excellent recording.

Bremer/McCoy - ordet

Danish “jazz” you guys should check it out if you’re in a “chill-out” mood.

And don’t worry, no lyrics so don’t be frightened that it’s danish Smile

Live music ... one of our neighbours is a music teacher / session drummer ... so usually we hear him practising is garage.

On Wednesday we went to see him play in the band Soul.Sacrifice.Melbourne ...

Burl Ives "Coronation Concert".  Burl Who, you may ask?  What coronation, you may ask?  I guess you're just not old enough yet, to be playing with those trendy "record album" thingies...
