Sturgyll Simpson's newest, "Sound And Fury." Also the soundtrack to an impressive anime on Netflix, of the same name. Surreal anime, stunning imagery.

If you like female singers and you like (or want to explore) modern jazz influences, the new album from Michelle Lordi might be something.

This is an excellent recording with Michelles sweet voice and the acoustic power of her outstanding musicians.

Some pretty good saxophone and double bass playing there.

Spinning Norman Rockwell on an RX2 and listening with M70s. First listen to anything by Lana Del Ray. Loving it so far with just the D side to play.

Oh, and this is a bit of a comment to a thread in the General Discussions: I for one still give an “attentive” listen to a dozen or so complete albums a week.

There seem to be fewer and fewer doing so.

This is an album that I listen to ‘attentive’ (just did it this afternoon) at least one time every year at this time.

Last week on the BeoTalk podcast, Henrik said he tests with Justin Timberlake's "Say Something", for the deeper bass notes which follow the periodic bendy synth strikes.  So that's what I listened to, for the first time, today.

Note: The live performance on the music video does *not* have the same bass as the album cut, because the sound mixers from La Blogothèque opted to build the complexity/texture & the bass through the end of the video.  (https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/inside-track-justin-timberlakes-say-something)  Despite or perhaps because of the intensive sound editing, the video is pretty cool on its own merits -- including a single-take 6-minute tracking shot all up & down the historic Bradbury Building in Los Angeles!  I recommend wasting a few minutes of your life for this shallow pop tune, available on that Tube website (as the "Official Video").

"The Manager" ist the first part of "Little America". This series presents real people trying to make their living in the United States of America like a twelve year olf boy whose parents are sent back to America and who tries quite a few things to get his parents back ...

I watched it on Apple TV+.

Oops, wrong thread ...

A friend of mine recommended listening to Big Big Train - did not know about them.....untill now.

If you like early Genesis/prog rock, you’ll definitely like this one, too.

The have made lots of albums, which I am looking forward to listening to.
