I am thinking of using my BEO5 for controlling my audio equipment (Linn Majik DSM or Marantz amplifier). Is this possible? Where can I find the IR codes for doing this?

Looking forward to hearing experiences from other forum members!

You can control 99% of 3rd party products with the Beo5.

The best way of getting the IR codes for your required 3rd party products is by capturing them from your original 3rd party remote control.

If you wish to control w third party product it is reasonable to assume you have the original remote.

The challenge is then to create an XML control file with these IR codes which is understood by the B&O Control file.

If you cannot capture the required IR codes you can go to www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes where a large number of pronto HEX codes can be found which can be converted.

Thank you very much for your fast response! Probably a stupid question, but how does one capture a remote's IR commands?

the best IR catcher in the business without doubt is the RTI IR-PRO captures virtually anything
