Hi to all. Can anybody help me with my beocenter 9500, i replaced the cd decoder and all went well until i turned it on , all lights came on and then it asked me for a code . Dose anybody know the code and why has this happend? HELP. regards dave
Welcome to Beoworld !
I don't remember if the Beocenter 9500 has an anti-theft code but if this is what it asks for, you will have to key in the code.If you don't have the code you will have to ask B&O and remember to bring the purchase receipt.Antitheft codes is nothing we can (or will) help you with here as I'm sure, you understand.

The BC 9500 don't have an anti theft code its a code needed after a memory loss. I think it's 1271 but I'm not sure. It can be found on the forum.
//Bo.A long list...
Oh yes, I also remember something about a reprogramming of the tuning offset.It's in the service manual.
This usually happens if you have replaced the S/W or the lithium battery has been replaced or needs replacing.
Fix the battery or RAM and then:
Using a Beolink 1000 press:1271
After 3 seconds, disconnect the 9500 from the mains and then reconnect. - Done!
It's even in a FAQ

I'm sure there are other programmable things as well, but this will usually sort it for as long as you keep the Beocenter plugged into mains. If you unplug it, it will probably ask for the code again until you replace the lithium backup battery in the CPU module.

I noticed that if you also just leave the unit for a few hours then it appears to go away on it's own???
