There are some standard issues with that wheel.
Has the wheel physically broken or is it just not working anymore ?

Just not working anymore not physically broken the rest of the remote seems fine most of the time. It occasionally says "no contact".

If the MCP lights up when you rotate the wheel but the volume is not changed, replace the
wheel opto component (I still have a few original parts in the drawer).
Basic electronic skills and tools are needed (soldering etc.)

If the MCP does not light up when you rotate the wheel, clean the contacts of the microswitch at
the back at the wheel.

The optoswitch may be smothered with accumulated dust which only needs clearing out for the system to work OK again.

I have had 2 like this just lately!
